Stuff Swap

Huge Stuff Swap on Ball Circle

At the end of each semester  a lot of people throw things away from their dorm room that can actually still be used. We should create some type of reuse/swap program about a week or two before the end of each semester. We could create a facebook group for it, and people can write what they have available and other people can write what they will need. Or we can just set up a big stuff swap on Ball circle. And everything will be FREE!

I just want to thank the Eco club for spreading the news about reducing, reusing, and recycling to UMW college students. The stuff swap is a great idea! I am not a current member of the Eco club but if you need any help please let me know.

Also I want to spread the word about freecycle. Freecycle is a yahoo group that is nationwide. It’s premiss is also reducing, reusing, and recycling. It is also about aiding people who cannot afford “stuff” we take for granted. It is an e-group. I belong to manassas freecycle and when I have something I want to get rid of quickly I post it on an email exchange. Others come and offer to pick it up and reuse it. I got some great kitchen supplies for free this way when moving into my first apartment.
